Our Grant Programs
This program provides scriptures and resources to chaplains and gospel workers in prisons, hospitals, ports, military bases and training centres, and in school scripture classes. Grants are provided to ministries who receive no direct support from a denomination or church for the benefit of those in their care.
Bible Society Australia welcomes applications from all ministries including work with refugees, the homeless, the poor, those learning English and those struggling with addictions and other efforts to engage Australians with the Bible.
Our major grants programs are:
- Chaplains and para-church organisations (C&P grant)
- Bibles in Schools (BIS grant)
- Australian Defence Force (ADF grant)
As a result of the ongoing and generous support of our donors and the prayerful diligence of workers in these front-line ministries, thousands of people across Australia engage with the Bible each year. Together we Open The Bible to all people everywhere.
C&P Scripture Grant
Chaplain & Para-church mission group (C&P) scripture grant
If you are a chaplain or part of an Australian institution, organisation or mission that undertakes Bible engagement work in Australia, you may be eligible for a grant of up to $2000 worth of free scripture resources to use in your ministry!

Bibles in Schools Scripture Grant
If you are a scripture teacher or co-ordinator in a public school, you can apply for a class set of Bibles to assist in your scripture lessons. These Bibles are kept as a class set and used in lessons over many years. Primary school scripture teachers receive Big Rescue CEV Bibles while high school scripture teachers receive Youth CEV Bibles.
Scripture teachers of students up to and including year 3 may also apply for a set of Jesus Storybook borrow Bibles to share with their class.

ADF Scripture Grant
If you are a chaplain or organisation who is working with currently serving ADF service men and women, you can apply for a range of ADF badged Bibles.
